Anyone else Rae Dunn obsessed?! Tray decorating with the seasons and holidays is my fave!
I’m feeling all things grateful today for many reasons. One, I’ve been networking with other bloggers (who have been super supportive) and got invited for a play date with our kiddos soon. And two, I’ve been invited to a bloggers only mixer / sneak peak for a hugely popular event happening this month. I can’t wait to form new friendships with like minded, successful bloggers! And I also can’t wait to share the milestone with you all!
Since launching my blog, I’ve been on cloud nine as it’s my way to reach outside of my home as a stay at home mom and with being a writer for my entire life, this is my Ah-ha! moment I’ve longed for and it’s truly feeding my soul! But I’ve also had fear and negative self talk creep in and I’ve had to quickly nip it in the bud (⬅️ pure southern momma lang right there).
If there is something you’re wanting to do or you feel a tug on your heart for it. DO IT! Don’t let fear and anxiety put it off another day! Whether it be fear of failure and believe it or not, fear of success is possible and has held many people back from taking leaps from their content lives. I teeter on both fear of failure and fear of success personally. Lately, the way I’m able to overcome it is, by looking back at my success in writing that my mom saved while growing up. It’s a reminder of what I am capable of and how far I’ve come. I keep looking for new ways to learn and grow and I think that keeps my mind busy and focused on making each post, my best post yet.
And it seems a little insane to have fear of success, right? Actually, a lot of people probably struggle with this and don’t even know it. It’s more common than you think.
Fear of success is sneaky and will have you hiding out in your comfort zones. It’s a mindset of trickery because we can all say that we want success. You can shout it outloud and outwardly bust your tail to make it happen, but if you subconsciously dial into fear of success, you will constantly find ways to self sabotage, find excuses, and stay exactly where you are.
If this is ringing a bell internally for you, I invite you to be kind and give yourself the grace you deserve! Fears of all kinds come from a place of self protection. Treat your fear like you do your children with soothing and an understanding. Give yourself permission to reach your capacity of success!
If one of your fears and doubts comes from feeling like it’s too late to start. Let me stop you in your tracks and remind you that you are the author of your life. You get to write the story. No one else. Being that it’s November some may be kicking themselves that they didn’t finish or start their new year’s resolution they made back in January, you didn’t look into starting the business you dream of and whatever it may be that you may be saying “well maybe I’ll actually do it this January”, you still have a little less than 60 days left this year to get started! Don’t push it off because chances are you’ve thought about it 100 times this year and today is the day you get started on the life you want and dream of!
Remember to stay grateful this November and attend each day of your life by remaining present and being the holder of the pen that illustrates your own life.
