Wewf! October came and went in a blink! Halloween has ghosted us now and we have landed softly into November. Like a leaf falling off of it’s branch and floating to the ground. But, hardly before Halloween was even over, you walk into your local store to see Christmas decor decking the aisles. Why is everything so rushed these day? Where did the appreciation for November and it’s historic contributions it brought about go? Or what about appreciating the colorful leaves dropping to the ground that remind us that it is O.K. to let go and eventually regrow/blossom? Or taking the time to truly be thankful for what you currently have?
I am one who gets crazy excited for Christmas, don’t get me wrong! But, I’ll live that moment when it’s time to come. And there is nothing wrong with pre-planning by any means, just don’t let it distract you. For now, I’ll relax (and I encourage you to do the same) and embrace what is around before the hustle and bustle of a winter holiday. To remain grateful for what you have, you have to take the time to slow down and look around you. If you’re living life in the fast lane, you’ll miss the scenery around you. Soak in your blessings and allow them to work for you as that is what they are there for. Remember this Novemeber and Thanksgiving, your children are being tought about the history and also being tought to be thankful for what they have. Don’t rush yourself into wanting more or thinking the next to come, is better. This can lead to anxiety and disappointment. Use this month to live in the moment and let us not forget about the important holiday of humility and warm and fuzzy feelings, Thanksgiving.. and overall just enjoy the next month by attending each day of your life. If you’re looking for the best way to wind down in the evenings, here is my favorite, all-natural tea with lavender and chamomile. It is extremely affordable and with Amazon Prime you’ll have it within 2 days delivered to your door! I love that it helps me relax and get REM sleep! With three kiddos that keep me on my toes, being well rested is a win for our home!
I’ll be sharing a lot this month that will be sure to warm your heart, or I will be giving ideas how to warm the hearts of others in our community, ways to enjoy fall this November that are family friendly, fall trends and the best places to find them and ways to manage your Thanksgiving to-do lists! Stay tuned but most importantly, stay present!
